Facilitate Staff Compliance

Facilitate Staff Compliance

Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him. Genesis 6:22

Read that verse over about five times. Now, please resist the urge to run an ad that says,

“Wanted: One or two Noahs to make my life easier.”

Here are some secrets to having your staff do everything exactly as you command:

  • Let them know you trust them. God encouraged Noah by making a covenant with him.
  • Give them the big picture. People need to know where they fit into your overall plans.
  • Let them know you’re in charge. I’m sure Noah had complete trust in God’s ability to do what he said he would do.
  • Get out of the way and let them do what you’ve hired them to do.

God must have kept an eye on Noah as he built the ark, but he didn’t cut the lumber or spread tar in the cracks.

God drew up the plans, shared his vision, and offered encouragement. And Noah did “everything exactly as God had commanded him.”
