Do What Is Right
Do What Is Right
The LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
Far too many followers of Jesus draw a very thick line between their personal walk with God and their business practices.
In the name of good stewardship, they pay their employees less than they should. They talk about tithing, while they pay less tax than they owe. They habitually squeeze suppliers and merchants for unreasonable discounts.
In Micah 6:10-12, God lists some sinful practices that sound like the standard “unwritten” policy for some organizations.
God is very clear about his displeasure with this and says, “I will bring you to ruin for all your sins” (Micah 6:13).
God doesn’t separate personal from public, or spiritual from professional. Neither should you.
