Do Something Different

Before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 1:18

If your mission is to maintain the status quo, keep doing exactly the same things in exactly the same way.

But protecting the status quo is not what leadership is about. If the organization wants to stay where it is, it doesn’t need a leader. If you want to stay where you are, you shouldn’t be in leadership.

Leading involves taking people to places where they haven’t been before. To initiate change, you need to do things differently or do different things.

God was about to initiate a dramatic change in his relationship with mankind. He was on the verge of smashing the status quo into a gazillion little pieces.

No virgin had ever conceived a child.
