Control Your Attitude
Control Your Attitude
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8
Chuck Swindoll wrote a short, simple article titled “Attitude.” It concludes with this phrase: “I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it.”
There is so much that’s beyond our control:
A supplier can suddenly raise prices or go out of business.
A valued employee can leave.
Government regulations can make your best product illegal.
Technology can make you obsolete.
Unforeseen circumstances can destroy everything you’ve worked for—leaving you with nothing except your attitude.
From the moment Jesus stopped Paul on the road to Damascus, Paul’s life was out of his control. But he was in control of the one thing that mattered most—his thoughts.
The only thing that you can really control is your attitude.
