Cater To Diversity

Cater to Diversity

I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people. Romans 1:7

We get about one hundred cable TV channels at my house.

On the History Channel, commercials feature products for older people—electric chairs, supplemental insurance, and hearing aids.

Over at MTV, the pitch is for athletic shoes, energy drinks, and iPods.

Targeted marketing isn’t new—the apostle Paul’s approach to people was often based on demographics.

Paul presented the same gospel of Christ in each of his letters, including this one to the Christians in Rome, but he wrote each epistle in a style suited to his intended audience.

Each audience your organization serves has its own language. Your message is more effective when it’s tailored to resonate with each intended recipient.

Make a list of the groups you want to reach.

What is unique about each one?

What does each group like about your product?

Do you sell more of one item to a certain group? Why?

Pay attention to the diversity of your audience.
