Be A Blessing To Others

I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. Genesis 12:2

The idea of being famous trips up a lot of leaders—on either side of the equation.

Some, caught up in the excitement of celebrity, lose sight of who they really are. Others avoid any situation that might place them in the spotlight, and thus miss the opportunity to do what God created them to do.

If you’re part of the first group, enjoy the ride, because I’ve never seen it last as long as you’d like it to.

If you’re part of the second group, remember that leadership always brings some level of honor.

People can’t follow what they can’t see.

Even if you’re leading a very small organization, you’ll be famous to your staff. It’s just a matter of degree.

The secret to keeping your head on straight is in the last half of the verse. Read it over and over, and you’ll do just fine.
