When It’s Time To Move, Move!

When Abram heard that his nephew Lot had been captured, he mobilized the 318 trained men who had been born into his household. Genesis 14:14

It was the deciding game of the World Series. My team’s comfortable lead dwindled away until the opposition was just one run away from tying the game and two runs away from taking the championship.

Much of the lead had been siphoned off in the last two innings due to serious errors by a legendary pitcher who wasn’t performing up to par.

No one could figure out why the manager hadn’t brought in a reliever. When another batter connected and drove home the tying run, you could see the fire go out of my team. A new pitcher was brought in, but it was too late.

Abram knew he was the only one who could rescue Lot, and he didn’t hesitate to do what needed to be done. Hesitation would have sealed Lot’s doom.

There is a time for waiting and a time for action. When it’s time to move, move!
