Experiencing God's Presence #347
Experiencing God's Presence #347
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.
Psalm 23:4
“Death is the biggest fear you have as a mortal creature. I designed you for eternity, but your forefathers—and you—chose to live outside of My design. The reason I sent My Son was to overcome your greatest enemy and fear—your own death. Now, because death could not conquer Him, it cannot conquer you.
“Notice what My Son and My servants said about death in My Word. Jesus told His followers that Lazarus had only ‘fallen asleep.’ Paul assured you that departing to be with Jesus was better than living on in the flesh. Peter wrote of your priceless inheritance that is beyond the reach of corruption and decay. I have given you glimpses of My eternal Kingdom and promised that death has no victory over you. Nothing can separate you from My love—ever. And nothing can separate you from My Presence.
“Yes, I am with you, even in your worst times. In the most painful trials, in the most frightening circumstances, in the most tragic events, and on your own deathbed. Do you realize what that means? When you’re in My Kingdom, the very worst that can happen to you leads to the very best state of being. Truly you have nothing to fear.
“When your mind begins to worry, when you face danger and your adrenaline begins to flow, when you watch loved ones suffer, know this: I am always with you, I always give you comfort, and I always have a solution. You may not see, but you can know. I am close beside you.”
Father, I know there’s nothing to dread in my life—that my dread comes from the thought of going through difficulties without Your help. Please remind me often of Your Presence—even in the face of trials, tragedies, and death. Help me live absolutely fearlessly.
