Experiencing God's Presence #346

He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

Psalm 23:3

“You depend on Me for strength. Some days you feel strong, but you also go through many seasons of feeling weak. I actually accomplish more through you during those times of weakness, although you usually don’t see the results until much later. When you’re weak, you have to lean on Me. That’s a position of fruitfulness. And as you lean on Me, you grow stronger—not in your own strength but in Mine. You learn to let My energy flow through you. That’s the kind of renewal you seek.

“You depend on Me for guidance. You think this is entirely for your sake, but I have a stake in your direction too. I want you moving in the right direction for your good and for My glory. Both are important to Me. That’s because I’ve given you My name; you are known as someone who believes in Me. For reasons I won’t fully reveal, I have chosen to let My reputation be intertwined with yours. Yes, there are many who don’t seek My leading or listen to My guidance, so they reflect badly on My people and My name. But I vindicate those who truly follow Me. I let you represent Me and watch your ways carefully to accomplish My purposes and bring honor to Me.

“I want you to know these things because I want you to embrace your weakness and your need for direction. Look to Me for the right path and the strength to walk it. Don’t stress about glorifying Me; I will glorify Myself in you as long as you are depending on Me. Don’t try to establish your reputation; leave that to Me. Don’t muster up strength; let Me refresh you. Let Me be Me in you.”

Lord, I long for a season of refreshing. I need renewal. Lead me in the way I should go and bring honor to Your name.
