Experiencing God's Presence #146
Experiencing God's Presence #146
“This is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you.”
Isaiah 59:21
“Most of what is visible in your life is temporary. Few things last forever. My words last forever, and those made and redeemed in My image have eternal life. But the ways of the world, its passing pleasures, its fleeting glories—these are not forever.
“I have given you ‘forever’ promises. My Spirit is with you forever, and My words will never fade away. You need to know this because I have foretold times of shaking (Hebrews 12:26-27). Even before the final shaking, when the entire earth will see My Kingdom, the earth around your feet will shake from time to time and reveal what’s eternal in you. The things that can be shaken will fall away; the things that are eternal will continue to stand. The more you stand in Me—knowing My Spirit and being anchored in My Word—the better you weather these times. In a constantly shifting world, you need to stand firm in My words.
“Know the covenant I have made with you. My Spirit will never leave. This is a promise not only for those with good intentions and strong desires; it’s a covenant for those who actually believe My words, turn to Me, and depend on Me. The connection between My Spirit and My words is not coincidental. In order to experience Me, you need to grab hold of My promises in faith. My Presence is always a reality, but in your experience it often seems more like a theory. To experience Me, let the truth of My Presence sink down into the depths of your beliefs—an unshakable confidence in the core of your heart that I am with you. The more you believe My words, the more you experience My Spirit.”
Lord, let Your words sink deep into my heart and never be affected by the shaking around me.
