Experiencing God's Presence #147

No longer will you need the sun to shine by day, nor the moon to give its light by night, for the LORD your God will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.

Isaiah 60:19

“I want you to notice a trend. Everything I offer you in My Word eventually is fulfilled in Me. Long ago, I gave your forefathers bread. Centuries later, My Son became the Bread of Life. I gave your ancestors water, and He became the living water. I spoke truth in My Word, but He is the truth. In creation and in the Word, I gave you light, but in the end I become your light. Whatever your soul has longed for has been given in a transient form and will be fulfilled in a personal, eternal form. All you long for is ultimately in this relationship.

“Does that disappoint you? It’s easier to receive gifts than the Giver; I realize that. You don’t have to maintain your relationship with the gifts. You can enjoy them in your own way and your own time. But the joy and newness of gifts wear off, and they don’t fulfill you forever. I do. I may require a deeper investment from your heart, but My benefits are far greater than anything you receive. I have the power to fill you with life, peace, and joy. I don’t just give you these things; I am these things. I am the adventure you seek, the treasures you value, the excitement you crave. I am the light you live by and the glory you desire.

“Don’t try to understand or analyze it. Just accept it. You’ll see. You are living in days when this prophecy is more truly realized than when Isaiah uttered it. And it will be increasingly realized in days to come. Step into the glory of My Presence and experience Me.”

Lord, this is a mystery. What does it mean for You to be my glory? I’m not looking for an explanation—just a demonstration. Show me Your glory in my life.
