Trusting In God’s Justice

Trusting in God’s Justice

God is my shield,

saving those whose hearts are true and right.

God is an honest judge.

He is angry with the wicked every day. . . .

I will thank the LORD because he is just;

I will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Psalm 7:10-11, 17

Often we turn to God in prayer when we are facing a difficult circumstance. David was facing such a situation. Apparently Cush, a lifelong enemy of David, had found an opportunity to accuse him. David didn’t respond to Cush’s accusations with counteraccusations. Instead, he brought his case before God, the honest Judge. He trusted God’s ability to judge the situation correctly and defend his cause.

When have you felt unjustly accused? Are there people in your life that seem out to get you? Commit these situations and people to the God who promises one day to bring justice.

  • God of justice, I entrust my life to your care . . .
