Faith Is The Victory

Faith Is The Victory

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.

1 John 5:4

GOD IS THE POTTER, AND HIS PEOPLE ARE THE CLAY. He has the right to shape us as He wills. Sometimes God answers prayers the way you prayed them. The job is offered, the child healed, the money supplied, the marriage saved. In those glorious moments, it’s easy to praise God and be thankful.

But what about the other times? What about the people of faith in Scripture whose lives had no happily ever after? That’s when you have to steadfastly entrust your life to the Lord of outcomes. Your prayers do not box God into a corner. His plan and ways are immeasurably higher than yours. He can use every circumstance of life, good and bad, to accomplish His Kingdom purposes in the world. Thankfully, His purposes are good, and “God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God” (Romans 8:28).

God’s job is outcomes; your job is faith. Regardless of outcomes, keep faith in God. In the spiritual realm, faith is the victory. Even if the illness returns, the job evaporates, or the child goes astray, it is your determined faith in the darkest hour that amazes angels and wins the applause of heaven. Your faith will be tested again and again. Expect it, and keep trusting and following God when the trials come.

Remember, outcomes are secondary, but faith is primary. Keep your faith in God and let Him take care of the rest. That’s the path to victory.

BOTTOM LINE

Faith is the victory, even if the outcome is not what you hoped for.
