You Are Rich

You Are Rich

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

Ephesians 4:1

YOUR POSITION IN CHRIST IS A GREAT TREASURE. You possess all the privileges of a royal child of God. All that is His is yours. You are an heir of God and a coheir with Jesus (Romans 8:17). You partake of Christ’s inheritance. Your name appears on the deed to all His “endless treasures” (Ephesians 3:8).

Not only are you rich in spiritual possessions before the throne of God, but you also are rich in identity. Whatever labels the world has put on you are false. You are who God says you are. He labels you beloved, holy, chosen, and friend. He labels you powerful, worthy, and good. God has entrusted you with the great privilege of displaying the riches and identity of Christ in the world. This is the high calling you have received.

Do you walk in a manner worthy of this high calling? Do you seek out your treasures and use them? When the Bible talks about walking, it refers to your daily way of living. Words. Feelings. Thoughts. Actions. Relationships. Choices. Does the daily stuff of your life reflect your riches in Christ?

God has declared you able to do all things, and He has provided all you need to walk worthy of your calling. By faith you can become the person God designed you to be. It’s a matter of believing that what God says about you is true and living in full reliance on His promises.

BOTTOM LINE

Live today with the humble faith that you are the richest man you know, and leave no unclaimed treasures in your spiritual portfolio.
