Life After Death
Life after Death
God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
EVERY HUMAN LONGS for and hopes for something beyond this world. Most people simply do not believe death can be the end. They feel something must lie beyond life on this earth. And most religions are based on some kind of promise that life exists after death.
This verse explains why we experience such a strong belief in life after death. God has “planted eternity in the human heart.” God has fixed the idea and hope of eternal life in the human soul for one reason: to drive us to find out the truth about him. The fear of death and the longing for something more are primary reasons people come to Christ in the first place. They seek what he alone can give: forgiveness and a home in heaven for all eternity.
That’s part of what God has made “beautiful for its own time.” This means that somehow God’s plan is perfect. Everything happens right on time in God’s plan. Your own search for hope and eternity happened just as God planned it. He promises that nothing happens in this world by accident. All of it is part of his grand scheme to save the world—and to draw you to himself.
As we walk through our days, we can trust that God has planned perfectly for each of us from here to eternity.
