Traveling
Traveling
ALL-SEEING GOD AND FATHER, I am setting out on a long journey. While I have planned carefully for this trip, I am apprehensive. The world is full of dangers and conflicts, and questions flood my mind. What if my luggage is lost on one of the flights? What if I can’t find my way in a strange city? What if there’s a terrorist attack in the country I’m going to? Please bring peace to my heart and let me rest in you, remembering your care for me in the past. May I relish opportunities to meet new people and experience parts of your wide world that I haven’t seen before. Amen.
O LORD, . . .
You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do. . . .
You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head. . . .
I can never escape from your Spirit!
I can never get away from your presence! . . .
If I ride the wings of the morning,
if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
even there your hand will guide me,
and your strength will support me.
