Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving Day
LORD, when I pause to think about all that you have done in my life—the blessings you have lavished on my family, and the strength and protection you have given me—I am extremely grateful.
Too often, I’m prone to dwell on the challenges and problems I’m facing. I fret about things over which I have no control. My mind becomes troubled as I quickly forget how you’ve guided me in the past. I tend to focus on the wrong things.
Today, on this special day, I offer my sincere thanks for all you have done for me. More than that, I offer my gratitude and praise for who you are: Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. You are worthy of my devotion, my honor, and my very life. Thank you, Father.
Thank you! Everything in me says “Thank you!”
Angels listen as I sing my thanks.
I kneel in worship facing your holy temple
and say it again: “Thank you!”
Thank you for your love,
thank you for your faithfulness;
Most holy is your name,
most holy is your Word.
