Thanks For Abundant Life

GENEROUS GOD, you offer us a rich and satisfying life. What an undeserved gift. The abundant life we inherit when we trust in Christ’s sacrifice for our sins cost Jesus the ultimate price. And yet the monetary cost to us of becoming rich in Christ is . . . zero. You’ve explained to us in your Word that eternal life can’t be bought with dollars, euros, pesos, or any other currency, nor can it be earned through church attendance, charitable gifts, or religious rules. It doesn’t matter where we were born, where we live, where we work, or what we look like. No, the only way for us to receive your generous gift of eternal life is through faith in your Son, Jesus Christ.

Thank you that you not only forgive us and cleanse our hearts, but your Spirit pours out other gifts on us as well, such as kindness and patience. Because you conquered death, your Spirit gives us confidence that we, too, will inherit eternal life.

We’re grateful for the overflowing benefits you’ve made available to us—each one freely given. What you want in return is our trust. Thank you, Father, for your endless riches.
