Heaven
Heaven
LORD GOD OF HEAVEN’S ARMIES, how is it that you can live in heaven and in my heart at the same time? I don’t understand how that works, but I’m grateful.
If I were to tour a royal palace somewhere in the world, I might think of you and your heavenly Kingdom. An ornate throne used by monarchs over the centuries might make me wonder what your throne looks like. As I walk through a grand hall that could easily seat hundreds of people, I might wonder what the capacity of your banquet hall in heaven will be. When studying the details of a royal scepter on display, I might remember that your authority is perfectly righteous and just, not cruel or capricious like worldly kingdoms that rise and fall.
To think that I can speak to you, the ultimate King of kings, at any hour of the day or night is overwhelming. Mighty God, I am in awe that you listen to my requests. In those moments when I wonder what it would be like to be related to royalty, I realize that through faith in Jesus, I am—now and forever!
