Granddaughter
FATHER, I’ll never forget the day my granddaughter was born. You graced her face with two cute dimples and gave her beautiful dark hair and eyes. I was thrilled to have a granddaughter, God! After having three sons and no daughters, this was my chance to think pink. I didn’t waste any time; I baked sugar cookies and decorated them with pink icing.
My granddaughter is growing up, Father. No longer a toddler, she’s going to school now. Bless her with good friends, and may they encourage one another to make wholesome choices.
Thank you that my granddaughter is kind, a virtue you encourage us to “write deep within our hearts.” Please draw her tender heart toward you and help her to understand how deep and wide your love is. As she hears your Word, may it take root in her heart, tasting sweet now and sweeter still in the years to come.
Please protect her body, mind, and spirit, and guide her, Good Shepherd of her heart. May she grow in godliness and inner beauty, and realize how very precious she is to you.
