Psalm 37:23-24

The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

These verses offer yet another benefit of a life committed to God: clear guidance and direction—not in a dictatorial kind of way but simply because he delights in every detail of our lives. Along with his guidance, he also gives us his support. He keeps us from falling and holds us by the hand as we walk through this life. We all long for God’s direction, guidance, and support. Yet his Word tells us that as believers we already have these things! If you are in a season when life feels aimless, ask God to make his way visible to you. He is ready to provide wisdom and direction to all who ask.
