Don’t be afraid . . . for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!

The prophet Daniel had a vision in which he was visited by an angel. Daniel was awestruck and unable to speak, but after the angel touched his lips, he opened his mouth and told the angel how weak and afraid he was. The angel touched and strengthened him, then spoke the words of this passage. They are the Lord’s words to you, too. Whether God speaks to you through a vision, his Word, a friend, or the beauty of nature, he communicates to you from a place of love, always encouraging you. Imagine God speaking this message over you: Do not be afraid. You are precious to me. Be encouraged. Be strong. Meditate on these words to give you strength today.
