Micah 6:8
Micah 6:8
O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
This chapter in Micah describes a conversation between God and his people, Israel. In verse 6, Israel asks, “What can we bring to the LORD?” In other words, What do you want from us? The beautiful thing is that God didn’t give them an ambiguous answer. He responded with exactly what he required of them (and us!): to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with him. This is our God-given purpose. How can you do the right thing, both in your own life and for the sake of others? Who can you offer compassion and forgiveness to? How can you be faithful to walk with God throughout this day?
