Magnificent Prayer #229
You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.
Psalm 10:17
God will fill the hungry because He Himself has stirred up the hunger. As in the case of prayer, when God prepares the heart to pray, He prepares His ear to hear. So in the case of spiritual hunger, when God prepares the heart to hunger, He will prepare His hand to fill.

Pray About It: We often think that prayer begins with us. True prayer has its origin in God. He prepares our heart to pray and His ear to hear that His will may be done. To be a part of His work is a wonder.
Today, as you pray, think about God creating that hunger to pray in your heart. Then surely He must answer the very prayers He originates.
Every Christian will become at last what his desires have made him. We are all the sum total of our hungers. The great saints have all had thirsting hearts.
