You Are Never Really Stuck - In the Morning When I Rise

You Are Never Really Stuck

Lord, I feel stuck in a bad situation. Can you help me?

Search for me and for my strength; continually seek me. Remember the wonders I have performed, my miracles, and the rulings I have given. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

1 Chronicles 16:11; Psalm 105:5; Isaiah 41:10

But, Lord, it feels impossible to get out of this . . .

Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with me everything is possible. You don’t have enough faith. I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.

Matthew 19:26; Matthew 17:20

What can I pray when I feel unable to cope?

I recall all you have done, O LORD; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works. O God, your ways are holy. Is there any god as mighty as you? You are the God of great wonders!

Psalm 77:11-14

The Bible is full of stories in which God helps his people out of impossible situations. The mighty God of the universe is able to provide a way out where it seems as if there is no escape. When the circumstances of life make you feel trapped and discouraged, the best thing to do is to remember God’s unlimited resources. Meditate on Exodus 14, Daniel 3, and Acts 16:16-40. How do these stories bring hope that God can rescue you from your circumstances?
