Make The Most Of What You Are Given

Lord, how can I take good care of what you’ve given me?

The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.

What are practical ways I can best use what I have?

Honor me with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.
