God’s Faithfulness Will Change You
God’s Faithfulness Will Change You
Lord, how can I see your faithfulness to me?
Never forget the good things I do for you. I forgive all your sins and heal all your diseases. I redeem you from death and crown you with love and tender mercies. I fill your life with good things. Your youth is renewed like the eagle’s! My love remains forever with those who fear me. My salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to my covenant, of those who obey my commandments!
Psalm 103:2-5, 17-18
How can you be so consistently faithful, even when I’m not faithful to you?
Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne? Even if that were possible, I would not forget you! See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. If you are unfaithful, I remain faithful, for I cannot deny who I am.
Isaiah 49:15-16; 2 Timothy 2:13
What can I pray to remind myself of your faithfulness?
I will proclaim the name of the LORD; how glorious is our God! LORD, you are the Rock; your deeds are perfect. Everything you do is just and fair. You are a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright you are!
Deuteronomy 32:3-4
Faithfulness is part of God’s essential character—he cannot forget those he made and loves. Meditate on how you’ve personally seen God’s faithfulness. Think about a time when God answered your prayers. What were you praying about? What was his answer? Whether his answer was yes or no, how was it an example of God’s faithfulness to you?
