His Plans Will Unfold At The Right Time
My timetable doesn’t seem to be aligning with yours right now, Jesus. How can I trust your timing?
While I was teaching in the Temple, the leaders tried to arrest me; but no one laid a hand on me, because my time had not yet come. When you were utterly helpless, I came at just the right time and died for sinners. I gave my life to purchase freedom for everyone. For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

What can I be doing as I wait for your timing?
Never be lazy, but work hard and serve me enthusiastically. Rejoice in your confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. Cry out to me, for I will fulfill my purpose for you.

What can I pray as I watch for your plans to unfold?
I keep praying to you, LORD, hoping this time you will show me favor. In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.

Are you waiting on something from the Lord right now? Ask him how he might want you to use this time of waiting. Does he want you to practice patience? Be hopeful? Pray? Find gratitude or contentment in this circumstance? Serve someone? As you wait for God to do his work in situations you can’t control, don’t be idle. Serve him where you are, as best as you know how.
