Embrace Who God Made You To Be
Lord, how can I embrace the unique way in which you made me?
I made all the delicate, inner parts of your body and knit you together in your mother’s womb. I made you wonderfully complex! My workmanship is marvelous. I saw you before you were born. Every day of your life was recorded in my book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

My life is by your design, but why? For what purpose?
I knew you and chose you long ago, and my Spirit has made you holy. In my grace, I have given you different gifts for doing certain things well. Just as your body has many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. I have put each part just where I want it.

Lewis writes, “If all experienced God in the same way and returned Him an identical worship, the song of the Church triumphant would have no symphony, it would be like an orchestra in which all the instruments played the same note.”a God made you one of a kind because he needs you to play your part in the symphony of his church. Listen to Beethoven’s Third Symphony. Try to pick out individual notes. While you listen, prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to reveal where you’re trying to play someone else’s note and how you can embrace the note that God has given you to play.
