Are You Prepared To Explain Your Hope?
Lord, how can I begin to look for opportunities to tell others about you?
The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

How can I know when you’re providing me an opportunity to share about who you are?
Philip met the treasurer of Ethiopia, who had gone to Jerusalem to worship. Philip ran over and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. Philip asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The man replied, “How can I, unless someone instructs me?” So beginning with this same Scripture, Philip told him the Good News about me. Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!

What can I pray to make the most of my opportunities to share my faith?
LORD, have you redeemed me? Then I must speak out! Help me tell others that you have redeemed me from my enemies. How can others hear about you unless someone tells them? Here I am. Send me.

If someone asked you why you follow Jesus, what would you say? Write your response down. If you don’t have a ready response, spend some time reflecting on where you’ve seen the Lord at work in your life. What reasons do you have to be confident in God’s love for you? What have you been thankful for? Sharing your personal experience can be the most powerful witness. Pray for God to provide an opportunity for you to share the Good News with someone.
