When you stray from His presence, He longs for you to come back. He weeps that you are missing out on His love, protection, and provision. He throws His arms open, runs toward you, gathers you up, and welcomes you home.

It’s time for a soul check: How are you doing in your relationship with Me? Sometimes I sense that you’re embarrassed to come into My presence because you think you’ve messed up and you feel unworthy. At other times your life has been so busy with work, life, and the demands of others that you haven’t spent any time talking to Me or reading My Word. It feels like there’s distance between us. I miss your closeness and long for you to come back.

If sin is separating you from Me, will you acknowledge your wrongdoing and ask for My forgiveness? I promise that your confession will be accepted and you will have complete and unconditional forgiveness. Return to My love, My protection, and My fellowship. I specialize in new beginnings, and all heaven takes notice. “There is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents” (Luke 15:10). Find fresh delight in My presence, and come back to My embrace.

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.
