Unchangeable

“For I am the LORD, I do not change” (Malachi 3:6, NKJV). That’s My promise to you! You’ve been disillusioned because people you once had faith in have proven to be untrustworthy. That will not happen in your relationship with Me. I will never love you less than I love you today. I watch over you and listen to you when you call upon My name. I gave you gifts to use for My Kingdom purposes. I have given you grace to make it through the rough patches of life, and I will never leave you or walk away from you. My promises will always be kept.

Think about what it means to have an unchangeable God in your life. I’m here for the long haul. I’ll be here for you throughout your life on this earth, and I’ll rejoice with you one day in heaven. Some of your friends are “here today, gone tomorrow”; they’re people who don’t follow through with their commitments. But you can count on Me. Leave your fears behind and be confident, knowing you have a changeless God who delivers on what He says He will do. That will give you the security to rest in My arms.

God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
