I discovered an astonishing truth: God is attracted to weakness. He can’t resist those who humbly and honestly admit how desperately they need him. Our weakness, in fact, makes room for his power.

Acknowledging your weakness is an important step in your spiritual growth. Self-sufficiency ends in arrogance, self-centeredness, and failure. Display a humble spirit even when people put you down for your faith, or when you feel trapped due to harsh circumstances, or when difficulties weigh you down. The apostle Paul said, “That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10).

Allow your weakness and vulnerability to make room for My power. I don’t need people who act high and mighty to accomplish My purposes. I intentionally use those who know how weak they are. Learn to depend on Me. My work must be done in My power. My design is to have you showcase the power of Christ by exchanging your weakness for My power, even in the middle of pain and trials. Once you learn this, your weakness becomes your greatest strength.

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
