Unlikely Channels - He Holds My Hand
Unlikely Channels God wants us to relieve suffering, pursue justice, facilitate reconciliation, and free the heart to love, but He desires for us to do so in a way that reveals His Character. . . . We must do well in our unique way in order to reveal the vast creativity of a God who loves to bring change through the most unlikely channels. Dan B. Allender My heart is filled with tender love and compassion toward you. I know your journey has not been easy. You’ve compared your circumstances with those of others who have better health, supportive relationships, financial abundance, and unwavering belief, and your life appears to come up short. Your path has been tougher, more draining, and filled with unwanted obstacles. At times you’ve questioned why I’ve allowed you to struggle, but you’ve remained faithful to Me. Precious one, you’re learning the secret: I generously provide all you need—enough that you have “plenty left over to share with others” (2 Corinthians 9:8). As people receive your openhanded compassion, unconditional love, tangible support, and faith-infused words of comfort, direction, and encouragement, they see Me through your actions. Your weakness has become a platform for displaying My extravagant mercy to those recipients. Because you are an unlikely channel for My power, the world takes notice. Like the apostle Paul, your greatest weaknesses have produced profound results. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10
