The unfailing love that we desire comes from Him. His love runs toward me, even when I am unlovely. His love comes to find me when I am hiding. His love will not let me go. His love never ends. His love never fails.

I will pursue you even if you turn away from Me. You hide your face from Me when you know I’m not pleased with your mind-set or your behavior. Instinctively, you try to make yourself too small for Me to see, but you will never be invisible to Me. As you get to know My character, you’ll understand that there is nothing you could ever do that would make Me love you less. There is no choice you could ever make that would banish you from My presence. There is no heart-rebellion that would make Me turn My back on you.

Plain and simple—I love you! I know your hiding places, and I will find you. Even when you try to run away, I will follow you. I will pull you close to Me, cup your face in My hands, look into your eyes, and tell you that My love for you is relentless. You are the one My heart desires. You are the one I long to hold. You are the one who makes My heart sing. When you make wrong choices, I will forgive you. When you get sidetracked, I’ll help you get back on My path. When you feel unworthy of My love, look at Me and lean into My embrace. I am here for you. Stop resisting the best thing that ever happened to you—a personal relationship with Me. Say it out loud: “I am loved!”

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.
