Think of someone you know who doesn’t know Jesus. Have you ever shared the Good News with that person? Do you long to see that individual in the family of God, but you can’t bring yourself to speak out loud about your faith in Christ? You may feel that you simply can’t articulate the truth of the gospel or that you can’t remember the Scripture references that explain My plan of redemption. At other times you feel afraid of what someone will think of your beliefs. Perhaps you’d be mocked or humiliated. Or maybe it’s been so long since you became a Christian that you’ve lost your compassion for people who need hope. It could even be that your personal pain has distracted you from thinking about anyone but yourself.

Begin by praying for the spiritually lost people you know. Reacquaint yourself with Scriptures that explain how to help people recognize their need and accept Christ’s sacrifice for them on the cross. Think of specific ways you can bring up your personal faith in Christ. Pray for yourself—to have boldness and confidence as you speak aloud about this important relationship. Trust Me to give you opportunities to talk about salvation through Christ. If the gospel is rejected, decide in your heart that you will not give up. Live unashamed of this important message!
