Enough
Enough
The last and greatest lesson that the soul has to learn is the fact that God, and God alone, is enough for all its needs. . . . This is the crowning discovery of our whole Christian life. God is enough!
Hannah Whitall Smith
You are working hard to fix the difficulties in your life all by yourself. Your independence alienates you from people and tempts you to avoid asking for help. You are like someone who has money in the bank but lives like a pauper—never cashing in on the available resources. You’re tired. You’re out of ideas. You fear the future, and hopelessness is clouding your thinking.
Discover the wealth in front of you. I am a generous God. I am a God of abundance. I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing because you are united with Christ (Ephesians 1:3). I will be enough for all of your needs—not just a few, but all of your needs. Once you put your faith in Me, nothing can ever separate you from My love—not even the powers of hell can pull you away from Me! When you walk with Me, you can say with the psalmist, “Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need!” (Psalm 23:1, TLB).
I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither life nor death, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
Romans 8:38
