The Christian life isn’t a one-person race. It’s a relay. You are not alone; you’re part of a team assembled by our unstoppable God to achieve his eternal purposes.

I never intended for you to go through life alone. You’ve been trying hard to be independent and to run your Christian race on your own, but that’s not what My plan is for your life. I designed you to be part of a group of believers who trust each other, work together, and spur each other on to excellence. When you have the same objective—wanting to glorify Me with your attitudes, your choices, your work, and your goals—remarkable things happen. There is no stopping a team of people who are focused on My eternal purposes.

Here is what the apostle Paul said to the Philippian believers: “Make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose” (Philippians 2:2). When you move in the direction of My purpose for your life, I will provide encouragers, wisdom givers, truth speakers, and comforting companions who are also in the race of this life. As you keep running toward the finish line, be ready to pass on the baton of My faithfulness to the next generation.

He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
