Sticky Truth
Joseph filled the barns in the time of plenty to be prepared for the time of famine. . . . Gather the riches of God’s promises which can strengthen you in the time when there will be no freedom. Nobody can take away from you those texts from the Bible which you have learned by heart.

You fear the future because of wars, rumors of wars, natural disasters, family strife, alluring temptations that beckon those you love, disintegrating health, and discord among My people. Sometimes these concerns occupy your mind and produce an ongoing anxiety that makes you afraid of what will come next. The good news is that you don’t have to dwell on things that drag you down. Begin a regular practice of committing Scripture to memory—verses that will prepare you for those challenges.
No one can take My Word away from you if you memorize it! Renew your mind with My promises so you can be fortified against any trouble that will come your way. Rehearse them aloud each day; announce to the enemy that he dare not tread on your turf because you and your loved ones belong to Me. The Scripture that is seared into your heart will not only give you strength for tomorrow’s problems; it will give you confidence to face everything that comes across your path today. In the worst-case scenario—if you lose everything—the Word of God etched in your heart will still be securely in place, providing everything you need to make the next right choice.
I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.
Psalm 119:16, NASB
