You have to decide in life for whom or what you’re going to live. You’re either going to live a self-centered, miserly life or you’re going to live for something greater than yourself—the kingdom of God.

Catch the vision of living for something that will outlast your life. You have a choice—living to bring pleasure to yourself, or living for something greater than yourself. If you choose to live for the Kingdom of God, your life will be filled with opportunities to follow a Spirit-driven calling. Look at people around you. What is the biggest need you see? Ask yourself what Jesus would do if He saw that need, and then use your resources, your influence, and your passion to do something that produces positive change that glorifies Me. Make it a daily habit to personally respond to this question: “What can I do today to further the Kingdom of God?”

The more Christlike you become, the more your outer life will express the character and teachings of Jesus. As your life is transformed, you will live for something greater than yourself. Invite Me to be at work within you, accomplishing what you cannot do on your own. As you live for a bigger purpose, you’ll experience a more fulfilling, deeper joy than you’ve ever known before.

He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
