We have two alternatives: We can base our self-worth on our success and ability to please others, or we can base our self-worth on the love, forgiveness and acceptance of Christ.

You were created with a desire for fulfillment. My plans for you are far greater than you could ever imagine. As you mature in your faith, you’ll discover the work I have for you to do—work that will make your heart sing. It will be in perfect alignment with the gifts I placed within you. Your self-worth should not be based on the accolades of others, how much education you have, or your personal accomplishments. Base your worth on My love and acceptance of you—just the way you are!

Step out in faith and grab hold of the opportunities I place before you. The enemy tries to make you believe his lies: “You’re not good enough. You could never do that. You will be an embarrassment to your family. You’re a failure.” But he’s a deceiver. You’re a winner, not a loser. I created you to declare My praises and to do My work. You are forgiven, accepted, and deeply loved! Help others find their significance in Me too—by stepping out of darkness and into My glorious light.

You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
