Shout For Joy
Shout For Joy
When we fight back with joy, we embrace a reality that is more real than what we’re enduring and we awaken to the deepest reality of our identity as beloved, joyful children of God.
Margaret Feinberg
My child, you will find joy if you hold on to Me. Remember—there is fullness of joy in My presence (Psalm 16:11, NKJV). You are one of my dear family members, and I want to hear the delight you feel when you are close to Me. Sometimes you withhold your audible happiness when we’re together because you think someone might think you’re too odd, too expressive, or too loud. Try saying what you’re thinking about Me out loud—I want you to literally shout for joy!
Entrust yourself more fully to Me. Declare that your hope does not rest in a benign diagnosis, perfect children, a problem-free marriage, or a stress-free life. I have set you free from the weight of your sin. I have protected you. I have chosen you. I have loved you—and I will continue to love you for all eternity. Sing My praises. Shout out your reasons for loving Me. Let gladness be an automatic response of your heart every day as you reflect on who I am. Express your joy in My presence. Play. Delight. Rejoice. Sing. Dance. Cheer. Smile. Brighten. Bless Me. Be blessed. Shout for joy!
I will shout for joy and sing your praises, for you have ransomed me.
Psalm 71:23
