God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfill His promises . . . leading us along the best and straightest paths to Himself.

I always keep My promises, which are listed for you throughout My Word. These promises reveal things that I am unchangeably committed to, upon which you can totally depend. You receive them by faith, but they are conditional upon your obedience to Me. Sometimes it’s hard for you to believe My promises are true; people in your life have not kept their word and this has eroded your confidence in the meaning of a promise.

Be encouraged because I am trustworthy and unchanging. Allow your heart to be lifted as you focus on a few of My absolute assurances today. I promise you forgiveness of sins (1 John 1:9), eternal life (1 John 5:11), My presence (Hebrews 13:5), My peace (Philippians 4:6-7), My joy (John 16:20), and My Spirit (Luke 24:49). My Word contains thousands of promises just waiting for you to claim. Your trust in Me will increase as you rest in the knowledge that I will meet all your needs. My promises will never be broken.

For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
