Practice
Do you want to know what God’s will is for you? It is for you to become more and more like Christ. This is spiritual maturity, and if you make this your goal, it will change your life.
Billy Graham
Determine to live each day practicing My principles and following My will for your life. Study the example of My Son, Jesus Christ, and you’ll know how to live out your faith. He esteemed others above Himself. He responded to interruptions as if they were the most important appointments in His day. He taught spiritual truth by telling parables—stories people could identify with. He didn’t allow criticism and derision to divert Him from His goal. He made time for children. He cared for the needs of the sick with compassion. He offered them healing and hope. He showed unconditional love to people who hadn’t earned any special treatment, and He cast a vision for those who needed direction.
My Son also practiced this important habit: “Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray” (Mark 1:35). He spent time alone with Me on a regular basis. He made it a priority to seek My advice before charging into His busy days. If you follow His example and focus on living for things that will outlast your life, you will have joy and peace—more than you ever could have imagined. Daily practice produces life-changing results.
Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:9
