No Unfinished Business

No Unfinished Business

I want to live in such a way that, if it is only twenty-nine more days or twenty-nine more weeks, or if it is twenty-nine more years or more, I want to be faithful with each one of those—that I could go and meet the Lord without regrets, without unfinished business.

Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth

Beloved, as each new day dawns, I have a purpose and a plan for you. Instead of looking at the past, regretfully pointing out everything you did wrong, look at today with all of its opportunities and promises. If you ask for guidance, I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. As you live and move within My will, you’ll discover a fulfillment that brings spontaneous joy and renewed hope to your own heart. When you see someone in need, ask yourself, How can I represent Jesus to this person? What are the resources I have that can help this individual? How can I be a vehicle of encouragement and healing in this situation?

When you stay close to Me, My Holy Spirit will give you creative ideas to keep doing My will. You’ll have fresh energy, and you’ll begin looking for the next opportunity I have for you. As you keep developing the mind of Christ, ask Me to open doors in front of you. You won’t be held back. As you run in the direction of My leading, you won’t stumble. If you live each day with this frame of mind, your life’s work will be filled with meaning and at the end of your journey you’ll hear Me say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21).

I will teach you wisdom’s ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble.
