My Banner

My Banner

No child of God needs to live in bondage to feelings of inferiority, insecurity, or inadequacy. No matter what battle you face, God is your victory. . . . So raise high the banner! Victory is yours.

Sharon Jaynes

Do not allow the difficult circumstances of your life to make you feel like a failure. You’ve looked around and made comparisons. Other Christians look strong and courageous—even daring. Satan wants you to cower and tremble, like someone who has arrived at a battlefield already feeling defeated.

Rehearse your strategy for battle by repeating Scripture that promises victory. My divine power has given you everything you need for a godly life (2 Peter 1:3, NIV). I have given you the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). I have equipped you with the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8). I have provided never-failing promises (2 Peter 1:4). Get ready to hear even more great news. “Overwhelming victory is [yours] through Christ, who loved [you]” (Romans 8:37). Remember the story of Moses. Before he led My chosen people out of Egypt, he had trouble speaking, felt inadequate and unqualified, and made mistakes. But Moses trusted Me, and I gave him many victories during the subsequent wilderness journey. To commemorate the conquest of the Amalekite army, “Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh-Nissi (which means ‘the LORD is my banner’)” (Exodus 17:15). Raise your banner high. I am your Victor!

Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57, NIV
