Justice

Justice flows from God’s heart and character. . . . As we experience the wholeness that Jesus offers, we are to carry his justice forward in the world.

Take time to understand My righteousness and justice. The psalmist said of Me, “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Unfailing love and truth walk before you as attendants” (Psalm 89:14). You choose righteousness when you do the right thing, based on what you know about My truth. When you practice justice on My behalf, you work to make wrong things right. “For the righteous LORD loves justice” (Psalm 11:7).

When you see injustice, don’t think to yourself, Someone should do something about this. You be the one to take action and make things right. Sometimes you will share the need with others and get help to rectify a situation. You will see many injustices and sometimes feel conflicted about what to do first. Pick one problem and take positive action. Don’t allow indifference to blind your eyes. Be assured that when you are standing up for righteousness and righting a wrong, you are following My will for your life.

But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!
