Like A Tree

Let us not be surprised when we have to face difficulties. When the wind blows hard on a tree, the roots stretch and grow the stronger. Let it be so with us. Let us not be weaklings, yielding to every wind that blows, but strong in spirit to resist.

To flourish in your faith, you must be rooted, steadfast, mature, fruitful, and growing in your knowledge of Me. I will be your supernatural Stream of water when the heat is turned up on your struggles. When you find yourself battered by the wind of adversity, hold fast to My Word and grow your spiritual roots deeply into My truth. You’ve been planted in Christ by My grace, and I’ve given you My Spirit so you can thrive. Draw sustenance and strength from Me.

When trials come, resist the temptation to think I’ve forgotten you. Allow your hard times to produce even stronger roots that can withstand the storms of life. Your firm faith will bear witness to the fact that when you are grounded deeply in Me, courage and strength will be the fruit of your life. You will have some dry seasons and some rainy seasons, but be strong. As you look back on My faithfulness in the past, you’ll have no worries. I will protect you and help you flourish as you fulfill My purpose for your life.

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.
