You have asked Me for the entire blueprint of your life, but I want you to focus on following My leading today. Be careful not to get so caught up in long-range planning that your schedule keeps you on a rigid path that doesn’t allow for flexibility. Often, on the way to the major work I have for you to do over your lifetime, I will send you on short-term assignments that accomplish My will and train you for what is ahead. As you go through your day, be alert. I have already been at work in people’s hearts. Ask Me for the wisdom and discernment to know when it’s time for you to enter a conversation and point someone to Christ.

In some cases, I want you to notice a worthy cause—feeding the hungry, caring for a sick family member, giving to a mission project, visiting a prisoner, teaching a class, or providing hospitality to someone involved in My work. These opportunities are not distractions. Sometimes they are inconvenient and wearisome, but they are important work—Kingdom work! Once engaged, you’ll discover a new kind of fulfillment, and it will whet your appetite for joining Me.
