Abba Father
Abba Father
Our highest privilege and deepest need is to experience the holy God as our loving Father, to approach him without fear and to be assured of his fatherly care and concern.
Greg Ogden
My love for you is high and deep and wide. My promise to My followers is this: “I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters” (2 Corinthians 6:18). You are My child, and I am your Father. Come to Me without hesitation or fear. I want you to experience My closeness, with the intimate security that is yours when you belong to Me. When you have questions, come to Me for answers. When you feel lonely, come to Me for companionship. When you are frightened, come to Me for comfort. When you are hopeless, find your way to My open arms and discover a fresh perspective.
I will not turn away from you. I am never too busy for you. I know your needs before you even ask for help. Don’t be discouraged when you pass through deep waters; I will be with you and will not let you drown (Isaiah 43:2). My Son asked for My will to be done and paid the ultimate price for your redemption. During your toughest times, I hear your cries. I see the end from the beginning. One day you will understand why your journey has had detours and U-turns. Crawl into My lap, take a deep breath, and feel the warmth of My embrace. Let Me hear you say, “Lord, I know You love me, and I trust You.”
“Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
Mark 14:36
